Vintage 1980s Taiyo Radio Controlled Jet Hopper RC Car Boxed As New

In all of the time we have been trading in retro collectable toys, this is possibly one of the best examples of the original Taiyo Jet Hopper RC Car that we've seen.

For an early 80's model, the Jet Hopper was many children's introduction (including myself) to the world of RC cars, hence why it has now become such a sought after collectable piece of 1980s childhood memorabilia.

The model for sale is the very same version that I had as a child, so I can vouch for the quality and authenticity of its condition.

Still in its original box (which shows only minimal wear for its age), we received the car boxed as new, complete with manual and leaflets. 

There is no sign that the car has ever been run on the ground, with no evidence of use. We installed batteries and placed the car on a raised platform to test-run to ensure correct operation, with both the car and the handset functioning perfectly up close and at distance ( the video for this will be available on our Instagram feed ).

The bodywork is in excellent condition with all spotlights and spare wheel fitted. We could only find a very minor small scuff on the edge of the rear wing tip as shown in the photos, but put this down to possible rubbing of the aerial wire when factory packed rather than actual item use.
