Large Millennium Falcon Light Kit

This is the upgrade set that fits the larger Falcon models (a Hasbro base was used to construct the set, which is roughly 70cm x 50cm).

As long as your model base is within these dimensions, this kit should be ideal.

The set is intended to recreate the same layout as our popular Revell set, and includes the same 3mm led colour scheme. If you view the photos, the model used is the Revell to give you an idea of the lighting layout.

Please note: fitting instructions are not provided with this set.

The 180mm led clusters are broken down into four main sections, each labelled front left, front right, rear left, rear right (as you look down at the inside of the base) for ease of fitting. Each of these sections are on a 25cm wire from the main terminal block.

The two front cool white lights are upgraded to 5mm flat type ultra bright leds, on 50cm wires.

The cockpit lighting section is fitted on a 50cm wire and is upgraded to two colour changing fibre optic leds (each with x5 100mm fibres), a 5mm ultra violet led and a 3mm warm white led.

The separate booster lighting section has considerably more leds, 42 in total, consisting of two triple filament 21 smd led strips (both 35cm long) for nice even light output.

There is also an expansion connector so that you can add more fibre optic / round type leds to the main set.

The set is run by a USB transformer lead which requires connection to a standard USB socket rated up to 1A maximum to prolong the lifespan of the kit.

The light kit is fitted with screw terminal blocks, making it easier to take apart and install, and includes a 1 metre power lead wire.

We use 1mm strands for the colour change fibre optics.

The fibre optics can carefully be cut to size to fit the model. Wire lengths can also be altered by the model builder if necessary.

Each strip has 21 triple filament leds and is 35cm long.

Leds on the blue strips can be cut in blocks of 3 (every 5cm) if the strips are too long for your model.
