This light kit has been designed and built primarily for use with the Revell Easy Kit 1:72 Falcon model. It also fits the re-packed Force Awakens Revell model.

Compatible model kit numbers are as follows:

Revell Easy Kit 1:72 Falcon Models: 06658, 85-1854, 06694, 85-1822, 06718, Fine Molds

The set is not suitable for the Bandai 1:72 perfect grade due to wiring room restrictions.

The set (along with the majority of our light kits) is completely pre-wired and ready to install. No electronic work required, just drill fitting holes as required in your model.

This set is powered by a USB lead, that can be connected to a standard 5v USB output power source.

This set is an upgrade to our original Revell Falcon Light Kit designed for this model series, and features more detailed underside and side panel fibre optic lighting.

LED Colours & Intended Uses As Follows:


Cockpit Detail:
x1 Colour changing red/green/blue 1mm fibre optic led, five fibres, each fibre 100mm long from light source.

x1  3mm Warm White Led.

Underside Detail:
x4  5mm Warm White Leds
x4  3mm Warm White Leds
x1  2-strand red fibre unit for underside lower front lights
x4  5-strand cool white fibre units
x1  3mm Ultra Violet led for underside central clear section.
x1  3mm Warm White for top central clear section.

Side Panels:
x2  4-strand red fibre units.

Ramp
x1  3mm Warm White led.

Front Lights
x2  3mm Cool White leds.

Sublight Drive Booster
x1  x12 SMD Led Strip - Neon Blue - 20cm Long.

The led strip works very well with the blue plastic booster strip part supplied as standard with the Revell Easy Kits. Fitting the self adhesive led strip just inside this part on the grey curved section, and using the standard blue plastic booster part eliminates the hassle of having to use other methods to diffuse the light, eg plastic corrugate.
It is also a lot more effective than the common six led solution, as it provides more even light across the whole area.

The light kit is fitted with screw terminal blocks, making it easier to take apart and install, and adjust wiring lengths as required.

Each led has 180mm wire, that runs to the terminal connector. Please see the photos for better understanding.

This set has a 500mm lead running to the main wiring loom, and 500mm lead running to the blue sublight drive strip.

A further 1 metre wire lead is included from this point, followed by the 1 metre USB lead unit. This gives plenty of wire for running through display stands & bases - all but the 1 metre USB lead itself can be cut down to exact size.

We use 1mm fibre optic in this light kit for the fibre optic sections.
